Benicassim Music Festival

If you are planning to visit Benidorm during mid July and fancy catching one of Spain's biggest international music events, then book early and prepare yourself for 4 days and nights of partying at Benicassim Music Festival. Forget the ‘wellie boots' and bring the sunscreen because this festival is hot in all senses of the word with top international bands and artists, as well as some top DJ's.

The Festival

Benicassim Music Festival 2017 will be held from Thursday July 14th to Sunday July 17th although both campsites, lockers, accreditation office and car parking will be available from Monday July 11th. Some of 2016's acts included The Chemical Brothers, Muse, The Maccabees, Echo & The Bunnymen, Massive Attack and Kendrick Lamar. Although 2017 acts are yet to be confirmed, if 2016's are anything to go by revellers should be in for a treat.

Throughout the festival grounds there are a good selection of services and amenities including 3 stages, VIP area, rest areas, bars, eateries, drinking water, the Fibshop, festival market, information points, lockers, lost property, Wi-Fi zones, first aid station and a number of WC's. Being a Spanish venue, the culinary delights at the festival don't just stretch to burger & chips. Hungry revellers can tuck into Spanish tapas, Mexican, BBQ, Thai, pizza and vegie options.

Parking is just a few metres from the festival arena and is offered for a 3€ voluntary donation on a first come first served basis until full. Donations will go to Save the Children and the parking attendants are volunteering on their behalf so, be kind 🙂

The Campsites

Campfest – This is the original Benicassim Music Festival campsite and is offered free to campers with either a 2, 3, 4 day or VIP festival ticket and can be used the whole week. ‘Be warned', July is one of Spain's hottest months with temperatures regularly reaching 40 degrees Celsius and when you mix that with partying and drinking all day and night, camping can be your worst nightmare. If you wish to have at least one or two nights of air conditioned bliss, make sure you book your accommodation early.

Villacamp – An excellent new campsite in the centre of town with improved facilities, more creature comforts, loads of shady lawn and just a 10 minute walk from the beach. There is a festival bus service outside the campsite and entry to the site requires a Villacamp ticket as well as either a 2, 3, 4 day or VIP festival ticket.
