Benidorm Pride

The lively city of Benidorm is well known for its party atmosphere, carnivals and festivals and one of the most colourful and flamboyant events that takes place each year is Benidorm Pride. Gay pride is celebrated worldwide with some events such as London and Brighton pride attracting many thousands of revellers to their huge street parties and parades. Benidorm's Old Town is home to a large gay scene with about 30 bars and clubs located in what's known as Gay Village where all-comers can enjoy a great night out with some fabulous drag and cabaret acts.

Benidorm Pride Events

2016 marks the 6th Benidorm Pride event which takes place from September 5th – 11th and is expected to attract up to 15,000 party goers. Throughout the week there will be daily events, parades and late night parties organised by various bars and clubs in the Old Town.

Monday 5th September – The evening starts at 19:00 with a wine & tapas tour around the Old Town followed by parties from midnight at various bars and clubs in the Old Town.

Tuesday 6th September – The evening starts at 19:00 with a wine & tapas tour around the Old Town followed by parties from midnight at various bars and clubs in the Old Town.

Wednesday 7th September – The evening starts at 19:00 with a wine & tapas tour around the Old Town followed by the Opening Party Gala at 20:00 in the Mirador del Castillo. Featuring local artists, Dj's, GOGO dancers and drag queens followed by parties from midnight at various bars and clubs in the Old Town.

Thursday 8th September – The evening starts at 19:00 with a wine & tapas tour around the Old Town followed by a White Party at 20:00 in the Mirador del Castillo. Featuring International Dj's, live acts and GOGO dancers followed by parties from midnight at various bars and clubs in the Old Town.

Friday 9th September – The evening starts at 19:00 with a wine & tapas tour around the Old Town followed by Salvaje Black Edition at 20:00 in the Julio Iglesias Auditorium. Featuring vocalist Joseph Molines and Dj's Neo Scott and Jusep Leon followed by parties from midnight at various bars and clubs in the Old Town.

Saturday 10th September – The evening starts at 17:00 with Pride Parade in the Rincón de Loix area followed by T-Dance at 19:00 in the Julio Iglesias Auditorium. Next up is Main Stage at 20:00 also in the auditorium and featuring local artists and Dj's followed by parties from midnight at various bars and clubs in the Old Town.

Sunday 11th September – The evening starts at 20:00 with the open air Closing Party in Benidorm's Port featuring live acts and Dj's followed by parties from midnight at various bars and clubs in the Old Town.

Benidorm Patron Saint Festivals

Although the majority of holidaymakers visit Benidorm during July and August, many like to visit in November to take part in the Benidorm Patron Saint Festivals.
