Activities in Benidorm

The range of activities that can be enjoyed in Benidorm is staggering, and any visitor lucky enough to spend a month's holiday in the city would still struggle to fit them all in. There really is something for everyone, from fun line dancing classes to week long multi activity holidays. The more adventurous can take to the skies on a helicopter ride or tandem paragliding flight, explore the underwater world on a snorkelling safari or scuba diving trip, and head for the mountains on a down hill or river bed bike ride.

Just off the popular Levante Beach Promenade is Capsula D'Alegria, offering great family fun with a 5D cinema and the latest motor racing and air combat simulators. The nearby Laser Combat World is a less painful alternative to paintball and features 6 different combat scenarios. 10 pin bowling is one of the city's most popular family activities and visitors can enjoy a few games at either Ozone Bowling or the facility in La Marina Commercial Centre. Paintball, quad bikes, go-karts and mini golf are some of the other fun activities to enjoy.

Within the city there is a great value 9 hole golf course, and on the outskirts of Benidorm keen golfers can enjoy a choice of 18 hole golf courses. Various fun classes and courses are held throughout the city including a selection of dance classes, cocktail mixing lessons and a range of cooking courses.

Being a coastal city, Benidorm boasts an excellent choice of activities to enjoy in the water. Also a recent addition to Benidorm's beaches, the flying fish is similar to the popular banana boat, but due to its flat, wing like shape actually lifts out of the water as riders are being towed.

Cable ski provides a safer alternative to conventional water skiing and is located in a secured area of the marina. It enables skiers to perform all the functions of water skiing and wake boarding, only the skier is pulled on a cable instead of a speedboat. Jet ski rides and excursions are very popular activities, as are snorkelling safaris, scuba diving, surfing, kite surfing, parasailing and jet boat rides. A selection of boat trips can be enjoyed such as motor dingy hire, deep sea fishing, catamaran sailing and the ever popular Benidorm booze cruise.

Adventure Tours & Holidays

Benidorm is home to a selection of adventure tour operators that offer a great range of exciting tours to various surrounding areas. The most popular of these is a 1 or 2 hour quad bike tour that ventures through mountain tracks, dry river beds and forest fire breaks allowing riders to test their skills on rough terrain with steep climbs, hairpin turns and scary descents. Off road buggy tours are a similar excursion although more like driving a tiny off road car, complete with a passenger seat and safety roll bars. There are also a number of water based excursions like stand up paddle adventures and kayaking trips.

Summer camps are an excellent way for children to learn Spanish while enjoying a variety of sports and activities.
