There are a variety of quality, generally Spanish owned and run, seafood restaurants in Benidorm specialising in expertly prepared fresh seafood for both locals and tourists.

The restaurant interior is clean, bright and airy with ample tables all enjoying sea views through the expansive floor to ceiling windows. There are also a limited number of tables on the terrace for guests who prefer to dine al fresco. The extensive a la carte menu delights with a huge range of fresh fish and seafood dishes on offer as well as some meat and vegetarian options. El Barranco is renowned for its mouthwatering seafood paella but other delicious creations include sea bass, grilled sardines, octopus, gambas, langoustine, crayfish, lobster, mussels, clams and squid. Being an up-market establishment, menu prices are ‘high end' but the food is scrumptious and the service impeccable. This elegant beachfront restaurant is truly a seafood lover's paradise!

La Mejillonera

Located on Passeig de la Carretera in Benidorm's old town, this little gem of a Spanish restaurant offers an excellent range of fresh fish and seafood for the enjoyment of its patrons. This seafood restaurant is packed every night of the week, mainly with Spanish locals which is always a good indication of excellent food and service. La Mejillonera is open for lunch and dinner seven days of the week, but its worth noting that paella only features on the lunchtime menu.
