Half Day Coach Tours

Coach tours are an excellent way to explore the cities, countryside and attractions of the beautiful Costa Blanca, and for those that don't fancy a full day, there are a selection of half day coach tours from Benidorm. When visiting the many attractions along Benidorm's costline and inland areas, drivers often don't get to enjoy their day out as much as their passengers as they need to worry about route planning and parking, as well as refraining from alcoholic beverages; not a great prospect when you're meant to be having a good old ”knees up”

Coach tours allow your whole family or group to just sit back, relax and enjoy the day, and Excursiones Benidorm offer a superb choice of both full and half day coach tours. They also offer shows, boat trips, adventure tours and extreme sports.

Half Day Coach Tours

Moors & Christians Alcoy – This is a special one day a year coach tour that visits the town of Alcoy for its unrivalled and spectacular Festival of the Moors and Christians. Declared a Festival of International Tourist Interest in 1980, the festival has been celebrated in Alcoy for over 250 years. According to local folklore, on St Georges Day in 1276 after James I of Aragon had reconquered the town of Alcoy from the Moors, they in turn attempted to recover it and as the battle began, St George miraculously appeared, sending the Moors fleeing in terror. The half day coach tour departs from Benidorm in the afternoon to coincide with the day of the ”Entradas” (arrival of the troops) allowing you to witness the parades and mock battles before returning to Benidorm at around 23:30.

Orange Express – A combined coach and train tour offering great fun for all the family. The afternoon starts with a short inland coach trip to Finestrat where after a coffee and pastry it's time for a bit of orange picking at a nearby orchard. The coach then heads to picturesque Altea where you board the ”Orange Express” for a pleasant train journey to Benissa with some lovely photo opportunities along the way. Then it's off to Calpe and its imposing Rock of Ifach where you can enjoy some free time to explore. Before heading back there is a visit to the Fish Market and auction hall for a drink and fish tapa.

Guadalest Valley – This tour heads into the mountains where you pass the villages of La Nucia and Polop, stopping for photos of the beautiful scenery and views along the way. Next stop is at the Algar River to visit a small shop where you can purchase a variety of regional produce. As you continue ever higher you reach Spain's most visited village, Guadalest that used to be a mountaintop fortress in the 17th century. The village's only entrance is through a rock tunnel which was a strategic defensive point in days of old. Here you have the rest of the afternoon to explore at your leisure, enjoy a drink and bite to eat in one of the villages street cafe's or tapas bars or visit a few of the quaint little museums.
