Social Clubs

Besides being an extremely popular holiday destination, the city of Benidorm is home to a thriving expat community, many of whom are members of various social clubs. Benidorm is certainly not short of attractions and activities, but the majority of these are geared towards the city's holidaymakers who are here to spoil themselves and spend a bit of well earned cash. For the majority of people living and working, or retired here it's a different story and expenses need to be monitored, so unfortunately jet skiing every day and weekly visits to theme and aqua parks are not an option.

Free Activities

There is a good selection of free or cheap activities to be enjoyed in Benidorm such as a walk or picnic in the huge Parque de L'Aiguera where during the summer months you can take in a free concert in the Julio Iglesias Auditorium. Here you can also while the day away playing checkers on the cleverly designed picnic tables that have built in checkers boards.

There are several museums in the city that have very reasonably priced or free entry, and the city's beautiful beaches and picturesque Natural Park of the Sierra Gelada provide for swimming, snorkelling and hiking. However, as pleasant as these activities can be, it's always nicer to enjoy them with like minded people and that's what makes social clubs such fun. If you are new to, or thinking of moving to Benidorm, below is a list of some local social clubs.
