Sushi Making Workshops
It is often difficult during our day to day working lives to find the time to learn a new skill, so for the sushi fans out there, on your next Benidorm holiday why not take part in a selection of sushi making workshops. The word sushi roughly translates to rice with vinegar and, contrary to popular belief, it was first developed in southeast Asia as a means of preserving fish by wrapping it in vinegar soaked rice, before being introduced to Japan during the 8th century.
Modern Day Sushi
In the last couple of decades the popularity of sushi has soared to the extent that in some western countries there are as many sushi outlets as there are McDonald’s. From its humble beginnings as a basic staple of rice and fish, the variety of sushi now available is staggering and with our ever increasing hectic lifestyles it is the perfect eat on the go food. Bursting with flavour, healthy and conveniently cut into bite size pieces, sushi makes the perfect addition to any dinner party, social event or even just a picnic with a difference.
Sushi Making Workshops
The downside to sushi is its price, and for the majority of us it’s something we normally eat as a treat, but when you know how to make it yourself it needn’t be pricey at all, and with so many varieties available it doesn’t have to be made with the more expensive ingredients such as lobster or caviar.
